These served as experiments in technique and preparation. The goal was to find a method of working with the two different media that would best translate how I previously worked in oils.
Typically, I would create looser, more transparent backgrounds thinned significantly with mineral spirits while rendering the foreground in a denser, more opaque oil paint.
